CoStar's suite of services offers customers access via the Internet to the most comprehensive database of commercial real estate information on 66 U.S. markets and the United Kingdom. Based in Bethesda, MD, the Company has approximately 1,000 employees throughout the United States, the United Kingdom and France.
CoStar was founded in 1987 by Andrew C. Florance and became a publicly traded company in 1998.
Costar is the largest Commercial Real Estate research company in the United States. Costar maintains information on approximately 30 billion square feet commercial property, representing 1.14 million properties in the top U.S. markets, including 5 billion square feet of commercial property for lease.
