[edit] DSDI

Hi Corrinderz. I tagged the article DSDI for deletion on the grounds that it did not express the notability of its subject and we discussed very briefly at the talk page after you correctly put a hangon tag to the page. An administrator Luigi30 deleted the page as not notable. This means that the article did not show why it was notable per WP:CORP. The article needs to be able to verify any notability as well through the use of references - WP:Verifiability.

If you feel that the article was deleted incorrectly you can contact Luigi30 or you could request a deletion review. However, you will need to be able to provide links to reputable sources that show sufficient notability for the article to be restored. I will be happy to assist. MLA 14:00, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for all of your assistance and detailed explanation! It is greatly appreciated. Fortunately, I've just resubmitted the article with revisions, including numerous notable sources. Please let me know if it is suitable.

[edit] Dsdi

The article you wrote, Dsdi, is uncategorized. Please help improve it by adding it to one or more categories, so it may be associated with related articles. A stub marker or other template doesn't count - please put in an actual category in the article. Eli Falk 14:07, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Done! Thanks for the input/instructions. :)
One final note: PROPS to the Wikipedia Volunteer management team I've encountered thus far! Very professional group of individuals and your communication flow is enviable (from a business standpoint). Anything I can do to support the cause, just point the way!

Notability of Dsdi

The article Dsdi has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Awyong J. M. Salleh 15:49, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

This is mind boggling. The article was quite detailed and included numerous notable references. The entry was quite relevant and previous editors had no problem with its modified presence. I am resubmitting one final time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Corrinderz (talkcontribs)

[edit] DSDI

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article DSDI, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Katr67, thank you for your input and feedback! The talk section of DSDI has been updated for an additional explanation. In no way is the entry a solicitation or advertisement. DSDI is a substantial presence within wholesale dropshipping and has higher organic search visibility within Google, Yahoo!, and MSN than most organizations. As you already probably know, a higher organic search rank implies a more popular/noteworthy presence (see keyword result for "dropship"). Thanks :) --Corrinderz 00:26, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of DSDI

I've nominated DSDI, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that DSDI satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DSDI and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of DSDI during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Katr67 00:45, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Katr67, thanks for the input. Less relevant sources have been removed and replaced with more standardized, well recognized references. THX --Corrinderz 01:33, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

The NEXT time an entry for DSDI appears, you'll be best advised to include it! Be back in a few months... :) --Corrinderz 02:14, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

My advice to you is: read this twenty times over before even thinking of writing this again. Basically all external articles or interviews where the company speaks about itself are unacceptable sources for Wikipedia. You have repeatedly included this sort of link as "sources". They are not. Awyong J. M. Salleh 02:18, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Understood. The next time an entry is placed for DSDI, it will be via another source (non-employee) and will include references not in any way authored by the organization. --Corrinderz 02:21, 1 March 2007 (UTC) My hope is that the unsalting process (so to speak) will not be overly complicated for the contributor providing information about DSDI when applicable. --Corrinderz 02:23, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
