From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
My name is Jonathan Wessler, and I have recently graduated from the Master of Sacred Music program at the University of Notre Dame, studying with Craig Cramer. I earned the B.Mus. in organ performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where I studied with the immortal David Boe (also one of Craig Cramer's teachers). While at Oberlin I served as the vice president of the Organ Pump Committee of Oberlin (http://www.organpump.com). In the fall semester of 2008, I will begin pursuing a DMA in organ performance at the Eastman School of Music. My primary purpose at Wikipedia is to improve the pages concerning the organ, its composers, and its music. I hope that through my work and the work of other organ enthusiasts, the organ-related pages on Wikipedia become a quality resource for information concerning the King of Instruments.
The Cor anglais 16 is a lovely organ stop of the reed variety at 16′ pitch. It is designed to recall the sound of the English horn, the instrument for which it is named.
