What is the source that Syd Barrett appeared on this track? Carolus 01:44, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

It is incorrect. The 5 man Floyd was never recorded. I shall correct the article accordingly Martyn Smith 22:50, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes it was. According to the book Another Brick in the Wall: The Stories Behind Every Pink Floyd Song, Syd does indeed appear on this track, "Set The Controls", "Remember A Day" and of course "Jugband Blues". It also mentions on the Echoes album that Syd is credited for guitars on Set the Controls. Doc Strange 16:10, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Doc, That particular book you cite is woefully inaccurate on many counts. However, you're right about the Echoes credits. And it does sound like Syd's guitar style on "Corporal Clegg", at any rate. As for Martyn's comments, it's not necessarily a question of the "five-man Floyd" being recorded, but rather a case of a particular recording being started when Syd was still active, but finished later with Gilmour.--63.25.99.176 (talk) 15:34, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Is that really Nick Mason singing the rhyming couplets in this song? Sounds a lot like Waters....Martyn Smith 09:00, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

I agree. Or, at least, it sounds as much like Waters as the singing on "Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk" does.--63.25.99.176 (talk) 15:34, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Is this song an (humorous) attempt to mock The Beatles? It sounds a lot like a Beatles song...

Yeah, it sounds a lot like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band --69.79.195.135 05:00, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Funny, I would have said it sounds like Hendrix. --63.25.99.176 (talk) 15:34, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
