[edit] Definition Of Corny

What does it mean when someone says something is "corny"? This doesn't seem to be a great place to find out. I am the original person that put the definition of "corny" in wikipedia when it didn't exist. However it keeps getting deleted. So I continue putting the definition on the bottom of the page but others repeatedly delete it. Granted wikipedia is 'not' a dictionary. But there should be a reference to such a common definition of the word or a way to directly link Wikipedia to a wiktionary entry. --tg3793 05:31, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

if someone called something corny it was probably at a scene or an event, meaning of poor standard - corny also purports poor romantic or emotional content. Check wiktionary.org or dictionary.com, wikipedia is not a dictionary. Usrnme h8er 09:56, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
Being respectfully mindful that Wikipedia isn't a dictionary, I do feel, IMHO, that "corniness" is worthy of an article. There's a lot of psychology (and social psychology) which makes something corny or free from corniness, I hypothesize — it's crucial to keep in mind in literature, marketing, counseling, and other fields, and it deserves research and an article, at least in my opinion that I hope isn't a corny opinion.... :-) —Catdude 05:52, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Product

"Corny" the product. I've never heard of this product. But I'm not on that side of the world either. Well, at least not this month :-)

There's also a Russian musical band "Корни" (Roots) which is pronounced "Corny". (0: CopperKettle 11:34, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
