I was hoping this article would tell me how people opened wine bottles before the corkscrew was invented. If you know, that would be a nice addition. Pha telegrapher 02:09, 11 May 2007 (UTC)



The section 'Twin prong cork puller' makes the unlikely and unsubstantiated claim that "This is the only corkscrew which can also be used to put the cork back into the bottle." First of all, any corscrew can be used to replace the cork. Also, whether or not the claim is true, depending on the condition/type of the cork in the bottle, it sounds like this twin pronged device would be prone to breaking the neck of the bottle, and perhaps breaking up the cork beyond its usability as well.
