[edit] the mother

Swiss newspaper Blick told at 1 pm, that the mother died. But on 2 pm it's written (same article): injured in hospital. In german and french wikipedia, the mother is alive (at the moment). Please edit only, if you know facts about the destiny of the mother. Source: http://www.blick.ch/news/schweiz/artikel36004 (german) --80.238.133.43 12:38, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

The IP user is talking about Corinne Rey-Bellet's mother, and according to the article you mention, Ms Rey-Bellet’s mother, Verena, was wounded and was said last night to be in a serious but stable condition. Gestumblindi 19:30, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
some sources say the first name of the mother is Vreni, and some others say it is Verena . Which one is correct ?Hektor 05:29, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Both, in a way. Vreni is the Swiss-German diminutive of Verena. Many prefer to be called "Vreni", e.g. politician Vreni Müller-Hemmi ( http://www.mueller-hemmi.ch/ ) or former ski racer Vreni_Schneider, though some insist on "Verena". The officially recorded name is probably always Verena. Gestumblindi 23:24, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
