No one's trying to delete it. The thing you just removed isn't related to deleting the article.--P4k 07:13, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Major cleanup, wikification, lots of cites added.

I am editing this in light of the fact it looks like Sarah IS Corrina. Ok, I just spent an hour or so on this finding articles and getting it into shape.

Sarah (Corrina?): You need to understand that Wikipedia cannot at any point be about your personal feelings. In point, there are people out there who will specifically look for and delete things when people say things like 'Please dont do this to me. I need this to stay up.' Your needs are not important here; the encyclopedia's are. As it happens, I think with this many indie albums and the coverage she's had, she hits the notability requirements, but it can never be about having a page kept on Wikipedia because of your personal needs.

Second, you can't put ANYTHING in here that might be libellous without citing it (even if its about yourself, so you 'know' it). I'm surprised no one had removed your unsourced statements about her cutting an alcohol dependency; if you are going to work on this article, you need to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies on Biographies of Living Persons. If I hadn't had time to do a full wikignoming on this, I would have needed to remove those sections pending some proof.

Finally, you had uploaded an image from a commercial site, which was not free, and labelled it as an album cover, presumably to get around the restrictions on just uploading anything that you just find on the web. While I was researching this to provide cites, I came across it. While it seems you may have access to it, it was uploaded incorrectly, and it was not free, because it has not been released noncommercially. Don't do that again in the future; both uploading it to avoid deletion and using a non-free image are poor ideas.

If you really are Corrina, you should not, in the future, edit this page, because it can create a serious Conflict of Interest. Feel free to post to the talk page if you have things you wish other editors to evaluate and add. --Thespian 12:11, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Suggestion, re: image

Does a member of your family have a picture of you that they have taken while you were playing on stage? Do you have pictures of yourself from childhood? If you upload these, they can be used in the article for illustration. --Thespian 12:29, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] High School

I was looking through the links, and saw 'Marin high School' and 'Novato'.

Is this the high school she went to? San Marin High School. It is in Novato. --Thespian 12:37, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] re: Deletion of this Page

Dear Fans of Corinna Fugate:

I know you care about her a lot; you self-identify with her, you bond with her through her blogs and videos and have an unprecedented opportunity to talk to her. The problem is, so many of you are so very attached to her that you keep changing the article from an encyclopedic article on a small independent artist to a gushing fanpage that won't allow anything negative to be said about her at all.

I don't mind mind maintaining the article from a Wikipedia point of view, making sure it doesn't become an attack article, adding a little to it when it comes up, but you need to maintain some distance. Stop posting things like 'please don't delete this article, I need it!' and similar comments to the talk page; personal needs are not important. If you're not familiar with the editing tools of Wikipedia, please go and learn them before you edit the page. Do not upload pictures claiming that you took them if you didn't; people on Wikipedia are VERY good at finding images online.

I understand you want this page on an artist you're a fan of to remain on the site, but the best way to do that is to make sure that no one has a reason to think that it should be deleted. This page has been removed many times for not being notable and for being changed to be an attack page that the next time it's deleted, it will likely be banned from being recreated. If you take that seriously, then please remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan page, and needs to be edited from a neutral point of view. If you can't do that, or are worried that you might be too close to edit the page, post things here on the Talk page, and I'll be happy to look at what you want to add, and add it myself, help you add it, or explain why it doesn't suit an encyclopedia.
