[edit] overcrowding

The reason for the removal of backpacks was a saftey concern implimented when Memphis city schools took over. and the school has a capacity of 2100 making the overcrowding hardly a problem due to the recent completion of arlington high school, and the future southwind high school in Germantown. Overcrowding is a serious issue. So many freshman this year. Awful really. And who told you its capacity was 2100? It takes all of the passing time to get throught the overly crowded hallways.

the original specs for the school when it was built in 1997 were like that. and if you think its bad getting through the halls.. there were 2300 students at the school when i was a freshman there. but that was 6 years ago Barcode 15:35, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Overcrowding is an issue right now,I dont know if it will be in the future when that Southwind high school gets built, but right now it is.

Believe me when they need two buses for the same neighborhood the school is bound to be over crowded.

  • that logic is quite faulty, if that "neighborhood" was the only one for that school it would still need two buses regardless of the population of the school. The variable for that neighborhood/bus ratio is unrelated to school population, but rather its more related to the size of the neighborhood and its population density. Note: As stated earlier, some areas in the county have been rezoned from Cordova to Arlington HS and Bartlett HS. WhisperToMe 15:45, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

BTW, Southwind is in a different part of Shelby County, so it will not affect Cordova's numbers. Cordova's numbers, as stated in the article, are affected by rezoning to Arlington HS and Bartlett HS. WhisperToMe 03:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:CHS-Crest.gif

Image:CHS-Crest.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
