[edit] Stage adaptation

There's more info on the stage adaption than on the book itself - I'm trimming the section to be more relevant to the article - Tiswas(t) 13:38, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Furthermore, the award nominations related solely to the stage adaptation, not the book - Tiswas(t) 13:43, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Awards and nominations section

This section is in every single stage play/musical that I have looked at (and, over the last 7 months, I've looked at many!). The section is a puzzlement-in most cases, it's simply a long list--in a few, it is in text. Any suggestions as to how to show this information I'm sure would be most gratefully received. However, deleting the specific Award/nomination and simply stating the general category (i.e.: received Tony Award nominations rather than "Tony Award nominations for...) really deletes important and valuable information. Do we now plan on deleting such detailed information for every one of the many many stage articles?

If so, this probably would warrant a thorough discussion and consensus, perhaps here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Musical_Theatre/Article_Structure#Awards_.28optional.29.

Yes, the suggested format does permit--and actually suggest--the detailed list , stating specifically: "This section should contain a list of awards and what they were for..." (emphasis mine)Do we now propose to change this; granted this is not a hard-and-fast LAW, but we must have some guidelines, must we not, else chaos ensues? Food for thought. The general consensus is for prose over lists, where appropriate. I have no problem with award lists, per se - provided they add context and value to articles - Nominations, however, are somewhat more problematic, as there are then issues of notability. The list of Tony Awards nominees is covered elsewhere (I have not, so far, looked for the other awards). - Tiswas(t) 11:14, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moved play info to new article

I started an article at Coram Boy (play) and moved most of the play info to it. You might even want to delete some of the award info from this article now, since it is covered by the play article. Jean, please move over any links that belong to the musical rather than the play. Best regards! -- Ssilvers 13:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

I checked the links, I think I got them all.JeanColumbia 15:40, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
