Cory Paterson is a rugby league footballer who plays for Newcastle Knights in the NRL. Cory Paterson's preferred position is in the second-row.

Paterson is a gifted ball-playing second-row who has been compared to New Zealand international David Solomona. Paterson looks to promote the football and has a solid kicking game.

Paterson is the backup goal-kicker at the EnergyAustralia Stadium, taking over goal-kicking duties in the absence of captain Kurt Gidley.

Paterson is very mobile for such a large man. He has also got a keen eye for a gap in the defensive line.

In 2007, Cory Paterson was promoted to train with the Newcastle Knights first team squad. [1]
