Corriere Canadese
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Corriere Canadese is an Italian-language daily newspaper published in Toronto, Canada. Founded in 1954 by Daniel Iannuzzi, it is now owned by Multimedia Nova Corporation and published by Italmedia srl. Its target audience is a subset of the nearly two million Italian Canadians. In 1995, it launched Tandem, an English-language weekend edition of Corriere Canadese targeting children of Italian immigrants, since they are more likely to be fluent in English than Italian.[1]
Although there are plans to distribute the newspaper nationally, it is currently distributed only in Ontario and Quebec, primarily the Greater Toronto Area, and in the Greater Montreal area.[1] Future markets include those with large Italian communites, including Ottawa, the Niagara Peninsula, Windsor, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
