Corrado Giacona

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Corrado Giacona (d. July 25, 1944), was the first boss of the New Orleans crime family, remaining a power from the organization's formation until his death in 1944.

Frank Todaro succeeded him but was killed less than six months later. It was suggested that Todaro's death was orchestrated by his successor, Silvestro Carollo, who ruled from the organization from 1944 to 1947. As a matter of fact, the New Orleans family is often referred to as the Carollo family. Carlos Marcello became the boss in 1947 and was still in power in 1994.
