Corrado Colombo (born 3 August 1979 in Vimercate) is an Italian footballer. He currently plays for Spezia of Serie B, joint-owned by Sampdoria.

[edit] Early career

Colombo started his career at famous youth rank of Atalanta. He made his debut on Serie B and for the club in 1998/1999 season, and then joined Pistoiese (Serie B). He was signed by the big giant Internazionale in the summer of 2000. He made his Serie A debut on 1 October 2000 against Reggina Calcio, and four other appearances at Coppa Italia, Italian Super Cup and the UEFA Cup match which he scored.

In October, he was on loan to Torino Calcio (Serie B) along with Sixto Peralta, as too many striker in the squad.

He fail to return to Inter, but sold back to Atalanta, this time at Serie A.

His first ever Serie A season as regular was fair, which he made 22 appearances.

[edit] Sampdoria, years of loan

In summer 2002, Sampdoria (Serie B) signed Colombo by bought his of the player's license. He is one of the player helping the club to promote, by played 27 games.

But his third Serie A season with his third Serie A club was bitter, he just made 2 appearances before the winter break.

Due to he still under contract with Atalanta, and Sampdoria did not choose to pay Atalanta for keep him in squad.

Colombo was loaned to Piacenza (Serie B), Livorno (Serie A) and Ascoli (Serie A), for exactly two seasons. The latter two were new comer of Serie A at that time, and Piacenza was also new to Serie B since relegated.

He returned to Sampdoria in January 2006, due to injuries of Emiliano Bonazzoli, which he made 12 appearances, without a goal.[1]

In summer 2006, he contract with Atalanta had ended. He finally fully owned by Sampdoria. But it saw Colombo was sent to Brescia (Serie B) in co-ownership deal in 29 August 2006.

Likes previously time, he failed to score regularly.

In 29 January 2006, Spezia (Serie B) signed Colombo, in co-ownership with Sampdoria, as emergency signing. He finally scored regularly, which he scored 8 in 18 games, which kept the place of Serie B for Spezia.

He then transfer to Pisa Calcio for 2007-08 season.
