The Corpus Christi Rayz are a minor-league ice hockey team based in Corpus Christi, Texas affiliated with the Central Hockey League. The "Rayz" moniker (or "Ice Rays" from 1997 to 2003) derives from the many different species of rays who inhabit the nearby Gulf of Mexico.

The team was established in 1997 and plays home games at Corpus Christi's new American Bank Center (ABC). Practices are held both at the ABC or at the team's old home, the Champion Toyota IceCenter at Memorial Coliseum, dubbed "The Igloo" by fans because temperatures in the Coliseum dictated a dress that included sweaters and jackets, even in Corpus Christi's mild winters. The team is coached by former NHL veteran Ken McRae and broadcasts feature the brilliant talents and vocal stylings of Josh Bogorad, formerly a radio celebrity in the Los Angeles area.
