Corporate Cannibal is a studio album by singer Grace Jones yet to be released.
Producer Ivor Guest has confirmed that Jones has completed recording her new album, due out in 2008.[1] Nick Hooker has directed the first video from the upcoming album.[2] Other participants on the new album are Sly and Robbie, Brian Eno, Wally Badarou, Tricky, Uzziah 'Sticky' Thompson, Mikey 'Mao' Chung, Barry Reynolds, John Justin, Martin Slattery, Philip Sheppard, Paulo Goude, Robert Logan, Don-E and Tony Allen, with recording engineering duties by Cameron 'Engine' Craig.
In April 2007, production company Version2 listed "Corporate Cannibal" as the new video directed by Nick Hooker for Jones.[3]
On June 22, 2007, Jones performed in Copenhagen at Tivoli Gardens theme park. Tivoli's website mentioned the title of her new album as "Corporate Cannibal". [4]
The new album will be released on Wall Of Sound Records, with a July or August 2008 release. Jones is headlining the Secret Party Festival near Huntingdon in the UK in July to coincide with the album's release. Jones in expected to debut tracks from her new album. [5]
"Devil in My Life" has been confirmed as one of the songs from the album. Its string arrangements were written by Philip Sheppard and Ant Genn.[6] Robert Logan has created ambient textures and drum edits for "Hurricane."[7]
