[edit] Storyline
In the year 1 (according to the mages of Minorad), inspired by the teachings of Taysir of Rabiah, there was a summit of mages and planeswalkers who swore to protect the world and its inhabitants. The wargod Ravidel attacked this Summit of Minorad, and hatched an insidious plan. He used the Argivan Sylex to blackmail his arch-foe Kristina-as well as the Ash Warlord Embereck, Grenfell Mor of Golthonor, Altair of Coloni, and Liana of Minorad; the wisest and most powerful of Dominaria's native planeswalkers-into his servitude. He did this by using the Sylex to threaten the butchering all of Minorad's sages. The last bastion of Corondor's knowledge would be destroyed before their eyes. After the Mages promised not to interfere with Ravidel they were banned from Minorad, so that the city could go on undisturbed for almost 1300 years. Exactly 1276 years later Ravidel broke his promise, he returned and destroyed the city and western Corondor in search for the moxes which would help him to recall his master Taysir. From the moxes, Ravidel created an artifact known as the Mox Beacon to lure other planeswalkers to Corondor. He trapped them there and forced them to battle until they were weak enough to be killed individually. There were three Conquerors (Tevesh Szat, Leshrac and Geyadrone Dihada) who wanted to take over Corondor for themselves, and three Defenders (the minotaur Sandruu, the shadowmage Jared Carthalion and Kristina of the Woods) who defended the land. In the wake of the Planeswalker War Corondor has fallen on hard times.
Corondor was also the homeland of the wizard Mangara.
