[edit] Schools
Corner High School and Corner Elementary School are located at the intersection of Bagley (Mayfield) Road and Corner School Road. Their mascot is the Fighting Yellow Jacket. Corner High School is a Division 4-A school with many varsity sports. It is also home to a notable drama troupe, under director Michael Putman and assistant Catherine Strickland.
It has also been stated[who?] that Corner High School is haunted by many spirits. The original school was built over a grave yard from the early 1800s. Under the stage of the old auditorium is an old locker room where a young boy hanged himself in the 1940s. Late at night, one can hear footsteps in the halls.[citation needed]
