Corey Anderson

Corey James Anderson (born 13 December 1990 in Christchurch.) He is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for Canterbury[1]. Anderson came into the Canterbury Wizards Squad in the 2006-2007 season freshly promoted from his outstanding showing playing for the New Zealand Under 19 Cricket Team, having perfected his great form for his High School 1st XI team at Christchurch Boys High School.

In 2007 Anderson received a playing contract from New Zealand Cricket, making him the youngest player in New Zealand First Class Cricket history to gain a contract.

Corey Anderson is a middle order Batsman, best known for his ability to hit the ball hard and far. With a high score of 79, to date he has only played 5 matches so far; all signs point to a big future in the Black Caps. Anderson is also a left-arm, fast/medium bowler with recorded speeds of up to 138 km/h. He is known by his team mates as "The Crazy One".
