Cordner-Egglestone Cup

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cordner-Egglestone Cup is an annual clash between two APS schools in Victoria, Australia: Melbourne Grammar School and the Scotch College. This tradition dates back to the first ever recorded Australian rules football match, played between the two schools on 7 August 1858 – though the first set of rules would not be written until 1859.[1] Scotch has recently won the cup for the third year running, and has hosted it at Scotch ever since.
