Coramine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Coramine is a stimulant drug. It has medical uses[1] but is also banned in the sports world.

[edit] Barbiturate overdose usage

Coramine used to be used in the treatment of barbiturate overdoses but is now considered to be of no value for such purposes and may be dangerous[2]. It was used by suspected serial killer Dr John Bodkin Adams when treating patient Gertrude Hullett, who he was suspected of murdering[1].

[edit] Sports abuse

Coramine has been used by sportsmen and women. Jaime Huelamo was caught at the 1972 Summer Olympics using it.
