Coral was first introduced in 1969 being considered ever since as the beer of Madeira, while Sagres may be considered the Lisbon beer and Super Bock the Porto beer. Coral's quality has been recognized not only by the consumers but also by the international competition of Monde Selection that has awarded Coral 15 Gold Medals (2007).
