  • Image:AA191-bank.png (history · last edit) The copyright info says this image was taken by an FAA employee in the course of his work. However, every source I have (a book called "Air Disaster: Volume 2" by MacArthur Job, this page [1], and a clipping I have here from the Chicago Sun-Times all say the photograph was taken by an amateur photographer who happened to be at the airport. Now perhaps the photographer released all rights to the image to the US government, but I find no evidence that he was a federal employee. The copy of the image on Wikipedia Commons was taken from an FAA publication. I think it's fair use, but is it public domain? I don't know. Charlene 02:18, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
