[edit] Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links

Actually, there's less links left on Distinguished Service Medal than when I finish a page (there's usually a few Talk, User talk, and the like), so it's done. I've moved the entry accordingly. TimBentley 04:07, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

I think I updated your vandal count properly :) Tawker 22:56, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Racism

Please don't use the n word repeatedly -- Thanks aleg —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.58.253.114 (talkcontribs) 16:05, February 12, 2006

Please tell me where I've used the n-word? I would like to know. Copysan 23:45, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
The page is gone now unfortunately to say. But just watch it in the futer. Thank you! :))
Since you cannot provide evidence where I have been using the n-word, I will assume that I am innocent of this charge. (If you want the page that had the alleged n-word usage, you can request its temporary reinstatement on WP:DRV.)

Also, please to ask why have you deleteing my posts on domain? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.58.253.114 (talkcontribs) 16:21, February 12, 2006

What posts/domain are you talking about? Copysan 00:39, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] How can you speak for all of 63.204.151.5?

This question was posed by 134.58.253.114 (talk) on my user page, which Adrian and Peruvianllam reveted, since 134.58.253.114 posted this twice. [1] [2] I have moved this question here from my user page to my talk page because I feel 134.58.253.114 maybe, as a newbie, he does not know how Wikipedia operates. It's okay. I'll assume good faith. to 134.58.253.114, please post futher discussion here. Thank you. Copysan 00:37, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

First, I'd like to begin by thanking you for noticing the misspelling of category. It is much appreciated. Second, regarding your question. I feel I can speak for the ideals of the school that owns that IP, Bellarmine College Preparatory. I cannot speak for them all, but I can speak for the ideals because I am a representative of that school. Note that I do not say I speak for all of Bellarmine, but instead note that I directly cite the ideals. I apologized because that IP is representative of me, since that IP represents my school. I also edit from that IP without logging in, on occasion. As a result, what that IP does is a reflection of me. I feel that the vandalism perpetrated by that IP do not represent me and the ideals of that school accurately, and as a result, I posted that small blurb to reflect that. It's quite an odd line of reasoning. perhaps this will make it easier. If we hold 63.204.151.5 = Bellarmine = Me and 63.204.151.5 = Vandal, then by the Commutative Property, Vandal = Me. However, I am not a vandal, so a qualification must be made. The qualification modifies the original assumptions. It is now, 63.204.151.5 = Vandal (except for when 63.204.151.5 = Me). Hopefully, that cleared it up. Copysan 00:37, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What are your views on abortion

What are they? (Fixed also your spelling of know) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.58.253.114 (talkcontribs) 16:59, February 12, 2006

Abortion should be legal. Copysan 04:20, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Random note

Heh, yea. I don't mind a free Taiwan per se... but they make too big a deal of it IMO. But the PRC is where it is. All the economic growth is insane. I just don't like people who make a big deal about freeing Tibet/Hong Kong because they BENEFIT more from being part of the PRC than anything. And Taiwan is a de facto seperate state anyways so I don't know why the PRC makes such a big deal about that... meh, my two cents and a random raving on the political state of China. [edit] Request for edit summary

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 44% for major edits and 91% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 04:16, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Thank you for the excellent A. H. Armstrong rewrite. It was positively wonderful. Your professionalism is extremely appreciated. You saved the article. LoveMonkey 15:12, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for the compliment! P.S. That link did not show up, but it is located at A.H. Armstrong. Perhaps we should move it? Copysan 04:01, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Yeah the same weirdness happened with the Vladimir Lossky article I submitted. It took like weeks for it to show up on a search. Still a killer job on your part though. Thanks again.LoveMonkey 03:57, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bellarmine swim team

Bellarmine swim team has lost meets every year...They have not lost a CCS title for some time. Talk to Larry Rogers and he will tell you there is no streak. In that case, then no streak was broken. The mercury news article is quite an odd one, then, for asserting that. Thank you for your quick and prompt reply. And thanks to Jjjsixsix for moving it from my User page to my Talk page. Copysan 04:30, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Academy Award Best Picture Template

Full conversation with responses from both parties copied into a chronological order can be viewed at User_talk:Copysan/Academy Award Best Picture Template Copysan 10:19, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

I am using Explorer in browsing and editing wikipedia articles. And I'm not having any problems which you have mentioned. The view through the Explorer, strangely, is similar to the image you posted with the correction (without the
, despite actually having it). Further, I applied the
s so that the year will not be separated from the appropriate title. So in terms of reconciling the appearance from Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, I am not really familiar since I just learned how to make and edit templates for a little over a month now. But your point is valid, an editor also once asked whether there was an error in a template I made before since it looks weird using Mozilla. Joey80 09:12, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Well, how about using
instead of
. The function is more encompassing than the simple
. I previewed the page using this and the appearance in unaltered in Explorer, how does it look through Mozilla? Joey80 05:39, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Ok, so it didn't do any good. Maybe we can post the problem in the help section so we can find a way to reconcile the format between Explorer and Mozilla. Joey80 07:56, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Done! Posted it in under the technical section. In any case, I asked for possible suggestions to be directed to you since I don't use Mozilla and don't have it. Feel free to edit the template. Joey80 08:26, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Looks good in Explorer too! Joey80 03:10, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I may have found your page based on your contributions or your link repair user box on your user page. If you are not a member, please consider including your name on the project page. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 22:48, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SHA-1

While looking at the category for Wikipedians with committed identities, I realized that you are using a SHA-1 hash. While SHA1 hashes are relatively secure, it is possible for them to be hacked. I advise that you try a SHA-512 hash. A calculator for SHA512 can be found here,[[4]]. While not required, this would further add to the seecurity of your account. Thank you for keeping Wikipedia safe. Remember to use a strong password!! - Hairchrm 02:37, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pink Taco (Manhattan) newspaper citations

Hi Copysan, I put the citations at Talk:Pink Taco. Couldn't find any of the national ones, just a random few from the Manhattan Mercury (I say 'random' because, of the ~2 dozen I have that I clipped and saved from the Mercury, the 6 that are still in their archives seem to be randomly chosen, and certainly don't represent the juiciest or most important). Anyway, I make some suggestions there about cutting down the article to conform it to what's available online. Jameswsperman 23:37, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Love Smart

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Love Smart, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Postcard Cathy 21:55, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Why do you keep removing Anton Ford from Bellarmine notables?

What do you mean "unanswered claims to notability"? You never answered my question, which was "Who says winning a speech competition at the national level two years in a row isn't notable?". That was my answer, what's your response, other than to roll it back? I even provided a footnote wit a reference. If someone is noted 15 years after they graduate as first in the country 2 years in a row in something, how is that not notable? Would appreciate a response.

please see Talk:Bellarmine_College_Preparatory#Notability_of_Anton_Ford

Sorry about that, it was me who posted that , and I forgot to log in. Please see my additions to the Bellarmine Talk page. Spectrum266 19:38, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Jesusism

An editor has nominated Jesusism, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jesusism (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. . -- Pastordavid 19:25, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rollback

Hi Copysan, just a quick note to let you know that I've added the Rollback tool to your account. You might find it helpful to read through the page at Wikipedia:Rollback if you haven't already, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions or there are any problems with it. Remember, most importantly, it's only for edits that obviously need reverting - everything else should have an edit summary attached αlεxmullεr 09:18, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Defence of Liechenstein

Have you thought of finding the relevant person at the CIA who deals with the 'L' entries for the World Fact Book and advising them that they've got it wrong? They'd probably be keen to fix the error. Buckshot06 (talk) 03:02, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I've emailed them the day I made the edit and so far have received no reply. Copysan (talk) 04:32, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, email inquiries to large organisations never seem to get anywhere - small embassies seem to react better! If I was nearby (I'm in New Zealand), this is how I'd approach it - ring the CIA main front desk, ask for the section which deals with the World Fact Book, then in that section, ask for the person who is specifically responsible for Liechenstein, find out that person's name, and then email him or her. Otherwise it's more difficult. My 2 cents, for what it's worth. Buckshot06 (talk) 22:34, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:FutureWeaponsS02E07.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:FutureWeaponsS02E07.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
