Hello Copper Kettle,

I've read your post to the discussion page for the deletion of the Reelin hypothesis of schizophrenia and I must say you seem to have a marvelous ability to express yourself in English. Your writing is better than that of many of us who are native speakers. Thank you for your contributions to the English language Wikipedia.

Thanx, Ande! I wish you good health (seeing from your info that you're having a nerve disease). Get well soon. (0:

I hope to contribute some more. My wish is to adorn the reelin page with some graphics - photos of brain structure and drawings from scientific articles, but I'm at a loss yet concerning Wikipedia's policy on copyright.

[edit] Reelin and TLE

Hi CopperKettle, I've been to the reelin page from the temporal lobe epilepsy page, and it does look like this might be a good link to TLE. I'll wait a day or two for feedback from some of the other editors, and then will start to add to and improve this. Do you have the pdfs of the original research you cite on this? If you do, would you mind sending them to edhubbard AT gmail DOT com (I've also posted this on the TLE talk page)? Edhubbard 14:10, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Glad to hear that my work was useful, Edhubbard! I cite two papers, of which one is available only as an abstract: Reelin deficiency and displacement of mature neurons, but not neurogenesis, underlie the formation of granule cell dispersion in the epileptic hippocampus, the other has a free full text online:Role for Reelin in the Development of Granule Cell Dispersion in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
Alas, I have no PDF's of the articles.
I'm not much savvy in the area of epilepsy, so I haven't really burrowed into these findings.. Maybe one should try searching PubMed with keywords like "reelin granule cell dispersion" or "reelin epilepsy". I'll try to, don't know when however. Best regards, --CopperKettle 14:27, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reelin

Hi, just wanted to say that you've done just a fantastic job on the reelin page! InvictaHOG 04:04, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you! I see you are a prodigious wikipedian too. (0: --CopperKettle 05:45, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hemosiderin

I uploaded the image to the Commons as hemosiderin1.jpg. Happy Wikiing! InvictaHOG 15:03, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanx Invicta! (0: --CopperKettle 15:21, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] You're welcome/infoboxes

And if you're interested in adding them to other pages, there is a wonderful tool which provides prepopulated text for the infobox available here. All you need is the HGNCID, which you can get here (from the URL after doing a search). --Arcadian 15:44, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Cool, thanx for the info, Arcadian! I'll take a look. --CopperKettle 15:46, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Closure of siberian language' wikipedia

Hereby I confirm that: I support the proposed closure of the siberian wikipedia. --CopperKettle 15:09, 24 February 2007 (UTC) And I am the same person as CopperKettle registered at meta.wikipedia.org. --CopperKettle 15:17, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edits to neuron articles

I just wanted to thank you for your recent edits to Betz cell and other neuroscience related articles. May I also encourage you to make a few big edits using preview rather than lots of little edit? I know that it is more work, and I have been known to use the microediting approach myself on occasion, but it makes it a lot easier for other editors to see your accomplishments and build on your contributions. -Selket Talk 17:44, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Sure! I'll try to edit in bigger chunks. Thanx for the praise, Selket. --CopperKettle 00:02, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] interwiki link added to Player Piano (novel)

Hi, I followed the interwiki link you added to Player Piano (novel) (ru:Утопия-14), but I did not find anything about the novel. I don't understand. --Jtir 13:44, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Fixed. (0: CopperKettle 13:50, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! There doesn't seem to be a redirect from "Механическое пианино" to the article. --Jtir 14:02, 9 May 2007 (UTC) The redirect works fine. I had double quotes around the alternative title. --Jtir 14:07, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
O.K. I've added it actually. (0: CopperKettle 14:14, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Simon effect

Hi, I just noticed that you added some material to your user page saying that you want to work on the Simon effect page. If you want some help with that, let me know. I don't have a ton of time right now, but my research into the SNARC effect (Spatial Numerical Association of Response Codes effect) relates to this, and I have read a large number of papers on this effect. Edhubbard 13:59, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for informing me; I really only seen the mentioning of this effect first time yesterday, while googling for a definition of POP task (which was mentioned in a Schizophrenia Research Forum article). If I will ever work on POP task\Simon effect, I'll know whom to consult. (0: Best regards, CopperKettle 17:02, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Enolase

About your post (long long ago) on that page: I replied there. Basically I couldn't find any references that say that there are 5 isozymes in humans. :-/ - TwoOars 22:29, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

O.K. I've already forgot the topic, frankly. (0: Best regards, CopperKettle 07:16, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Mind Hacks comment

I noticed that you wrote a note to Vaughan at Mind Hacks. You may also enjoy this article, which provides an in-depth review of the scholarly histories on the subject. Cheers, JTBurman 02:37, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanx for a link, JTBurman! CopperKettle 07:15, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks!

Hi CopperKettle, Thanks for the pointer on MH. Will inform Matt, our server genius! - Vaughan 08:53, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] protein box for reelin

You might have already seen it, but just wanted to let you know that we've added the enhanced protein box for reelin, as you requested. Cheers, AndrewGNF 16:19, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Great! Huge thanx, keep up the good work, comrades! (0: CopperKettle 16:21, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
