[edit] What Wikipedia is not

This article seems to be in violation of WP:NOT#DIR. Please update the article accordingly. ʍαμ$ʏ5043 12:28, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

I think you may misunderstand. This article is NOT used as a directory for ALL Coptic Churches in this country. However, it has external links and is also used a as GUIDE and a partial list. ~ Troy 17:33, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Question marks...

Should all those question marks be there under Copts? Tomayres (talk) 20:03, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Not a directory

Note Wikipedia is not a directory. Details on the addresses and priests of loads of Coptic churches is directory information not relevant to article and against Wikipedia policies. Please read policies. Also this has been pointed out on the article previously as above talk. I will remove the directory information again, and the ridiculous set of See Alsos unless a good argument is made to keep them. See Alsos should be related to the article and directly relevant, not loosely connected. Links to articles from an article on the church in Canada to Egypt, the church in Wales, coptic orhpans etc are not relevant. As for only removing content that has to be erased, I did only remove content that needed to be erased. Most of the See Alsos are already linked in the Coptic template and have no need to be liked again, and some of the others just aren't relevant to being See Alsos from this article. Canterbury Tail talk 02:47, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Fine, remove the see alsos, but don't remove anything that doesn't have to be removed (ie: the external links). I don't know if you're an admin., an average joe user, or someone who just happened to come across this, but lets NOT get into an edit war. ~ Troy (talk) 21:39, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
To be fair, I'll let you use my sandbox to experiment with me if you don't mind. Then, we can transfer that information to the article. What do you think about that? ~ Troy (talk) 02:02, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Actually the external links to each church are probably the first thing that should go. They're not encyclopaedic, they're just links to the church's sites. Canterbury Tail talk 03:10, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
That surprises me. I thought that the links were more acceptable. Go ahead and experiment with them on my page. Sorry, if I'm little busy. ~ Troy (talk) 03:20, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Check WP:EL, the links to individual churches are not notable and provide no encyclopaedic value. Wikipedia isn't a collection of links, or a directory. Canterbury Tail talk 23:02, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
