That is very true if we were presenting the empirical formula (and benzene would be CH, not C6H6), but the way the formula is presented is also intended to describe the fact that the molecule is a dimer. The acetates often have complex structures. --Smokefoot (talk) 19:07, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
