Coppet is a municipality in the district of Nyon in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.
It is on the north shore of the Lake of Geneva and is in the part of Switzerland known as the Terre Sainte. It is celebrated as the abode of Madame de Stael, her burial-place and that of Jacques Necker, her father. The Coppet castle was also the final home of Jacques Necker.
