From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Copenhagen football champions were the winners of a league tournament held under various names in the years 1903-1936. It replaced The Football Tournament (1889-1903) as the finest Danish football tournament of its time.

From 1912 to 1927 it served as the Copenhagen qualifier for the National Football Tournament, a national playoff to elect a Danish Champion. The National Football Tournament was won by a team from Copenhagen all the times contested. From 1927 to 1936 it coexisted with the Danish Championships with the best Copenhagen teams competing in both competitions.
