Category talk:Copyright law
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This category is getting a little hairy. I've started to break it down into a few subcategories -- Copyright legislation, Copyright treaties, Copyright scholars, Copyright activists -- but there are a lot of others that need to be made. For instance copyright doctrines, copyright campaigns. LQ 20:41, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Proposed new subcats:
- Copyright length (done)
- Copyright rights (not thrilled with this phrase which sounds redundant; also should include moral rights, neighboring rights, copyright-like sui generis rights)
- Copyright defenses (or maybe, something more inclusive, to include copyright defenses, exceptions, exemptions, and limitations; all of which can act as "defenses" in litigation. Should include misuse, fair use, etc.)
- Copyright compensation schemes - alternative compensation schemes,
- Copyright by subject matter (to include all the articles on copyright of particular subjects, like performing arts ... not many now but this will grow)
