Category:Copyright agencies

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Copyright agencies are governmental bodies charged with regulating copyrights. Common activities include setting royalty rates, administering copyright registration databases, and issuing interpretations of copyright statutes. While some copyright agencies may also act as Copyright collection societies, not all have that authority, and many copyright collection societies are only authorized by the government or are completely independent.
