[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Rudy2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Rudy2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:27, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Chiefs Wikiproject

Thank you so much for creating the project. I've been a diehard Chiefs fan all of my life and have gone to the training camp in River Falls, Wisconsin a few times. Getting to meet players like Dante Hall, Trent Green, Priest Holmes and his kids, Tony Gonzalez and his little kid, Dick Vermiel, and of course the late Lamar Hunt. I was wondering if you were still up since I'm bored that you could quiz me or something. I'm bored until the Super Bowl and would like to get to know my Chiefs Peers. Thanx! HPJoker Leave me a message 05:25, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Look, I'm from Gadsden, Alabama. You changed his birthplace from Gadsden to Rainbow City. Although his bio says he is from Rainbow City, there is no hospital there. He did live in a county area that really wasn't in a "city limits," but Rainbow City is the closest city to him. It is more of a municipality though. There are only two hospitals in Etowah County, Alabama, both located in the city of Gadsden. I was born at one of them and so was Brodie. Brodie was NOT born in Rainbow City. Why don't you just ask him the next time you see him?Atlantabravz (talk) 18:44, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

As an update, I contacted the Big Oak Boys Ranch that is run by the Croyle family. I received an e-mail from Connie Reeves, the Executive Secretary, who asked John (Brodie's father) where Brodie was born. John stated that Brodie was born at Baptist Hospital in Gadsden, now known as Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Brodie always lists Rainbow City as his hometown because that was his mailing address and high school location. Once again, Rainbow City has no hospitals and is basically an extension of Gadsden. Will that be enough?Atlantabravz (talk) 21:32, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:Kansas City Chiefs 2006 roster

A tag has been placed on Template:Kansas City Chiefs 2006 roster requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{tranclusionless}}</noinclude>).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Live8dvd_packshot.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Live8dvd_packshot.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 17:42, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Rudy2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Rudy2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 04:02, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Brodie Croyle article

Hi, although I don't have time to do a Good Article review, I looked over the article to find some things that would be mentioned in a GA review so that you have time to work on them while waiting for someone to perform the review. I listed them at Talk:Brodie Croyle. Please don't take this as criticism; it is well-intentioned to help speed up the GA review process. Best wishes, GaryColemanFan (talk) 21:03, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] GA review of Brodie Croyle

I've reviewed the article and left notes on the talk page. I've put the nomination on hold for seven days to allow the issues to be addressed. Feel free to contact me on my talk page, here, or on the article talk page with any concerns, and let me know one of those places when the issues have been addressed. If I may suggest that you strike out, check mark, or otherwise mark the items I've detailed, that will make it possible for me to see what's been addressed, and you can keep track of what's been done and what still needs to be worked on. If you need more than seven days, feel free to drop me a note and I'd be happy to extend it a bit. Also please don't take the long list as criticism. The article is in pretty good shape, it just needs some massaging to come up to the level of GA. I went into more detail than usual because I didn't see that you'd done many GA nominations before and I'd rather go into too much detail than leave you confused about what is expected. Ealdgyth | Talk 18:32, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Heh. Know the feeling on the articles waiting and waiting... the best thing to help solve the problem is to get in and review other articles! The more the merrier or something like that. Ealdgyth | Talk 03:22, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I have tagged Image:PHCD66.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 20:12, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:PhishBill1998.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:PhishBill1998.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:22, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] rating KC chiefs articles

yeah, no problem. first off, as an avid chiefs fan, i felt they needed to be rated, and also, i noticed most articles in the wikiproject for the NFL were unrated, so i went through and rated as many as I could. Unfortunatly, a week ago, my internet died out, and i had to replace it with dial up (so that means that this page took me 5 minutes to load...) in a couple of weeks i should be getting my regular internet back and be back to rating! (my old internet was 158mbps, my dial up is 31.2 kbps.... ugh). LukeTheSpook (talk) 20:38, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] A More Perfect Union

Excellent job on A More Perfect Union! I couldn't believe someone had already started it, let alone filled in the details. I'd definitely recommend you send it to DYK. Joshdboz (talk) 01:07, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Agreed, good work, and an excellent candidate for Did you Know? (though the AfD might pose some problems with that, but I still think you should nominate it). I don't think the article will have any trouble passing the AfD and perhaps we can even get a speedy close out of it if you want to try to get it into DYK (which has a five day limit).--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 06:07, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of A More Perfect Union

An editor has nominated A More Perfect Union, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A More Perfect Union and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:59, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Joe Delaney

Well, I'd would upload one, but I think I would violate the guideline of having part with the article. Thanks for showing me some links, I'll try to help you with an image and with a fair use rationale. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:39, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

No problem. I'm the same way when it comes to articles. ;) Can you give me a couple of minutes so I can find an appropriate image? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:53, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
On second thought, I'm going to pass the article with or without an image. I just went through some GA NFL articles and there's one that passed without an image, so I should do the same. Before, I pass it, there's something that I want to inform you about; in the Collegiate career, if there's a reliable source with his wife's surname, please add it. If not, then that's fine. The last thing, is in the lead, you should add the date and year of his death. If you can do that, then I'll be glad to pass the article. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 02:21, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Congratulations, you now have a GA in your midst. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:04, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
