Talk:Controversial book

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Passover Plot is hardly a pivotal work. If we put it in this list, we'll have to let in all the cod-religious conspiracy books published over the last few years, of which there dozens, at the very least.

I've taken it out of this list for this reason, but the article remains.

This page needs a better name. I suggest List of controversial non-fiction books. -- Stephen Gilbert 16:53 Jan 27, 2003 (UTC)

I agree on the name change, plus someone should add that Margaret Mead book -- I can't remember the name... Gorillas in the Mist? IIRC, that was pretty controversial (or at least she was, and probably wrote a book that was too). Tokerboy

Can someone please explain to me, why this list should be selective rather than exhaustive. What is wrong with exhaustive? Wikipedia is not paper, remember. -- Cimon Avaro on a pogo-stick 01:49, Sep 12, 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Neutral point of view

There's no way this page is NPOV. Some of the books don't even have articles. There's no references. Brianjd | Why restrict HTML? | 08:39, 2005 Mar 20 (UTC)

I do not like the POV warning but I am afraid that you are right. I suggest writing this article following the procedure of list of cults and list of purported hate groups. Andries 11:54, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
