Talk:Contextualization
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Contextualization is a long word and seldom used, as it is not readily understood. Perhaps its relevance as a term is for missiology studies. Most readers will appreciate the similar terms used to explain context , worldviews and contextalise which is similar with accommodating or explaining in the correct hearers' context of understanding. Perhaps others here in among wikipedian contributors have some relevant comments to add to.
[edit] Two unrelated topics?
The sociolinguistic sense of contextualization seems totally unrelated to its use in religious contexts. If it were not for the fact that both sections are so short, I would say they should be separate pages (perhaps with a disambiguation page).Cnilep (talk) 17:51, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
