Minor dispute: My source, the New Larousse Encyclopedia of Mythology, says the altar of Consus near the Circus Maximus was not "beneath the ground" and "unearthed" for the Consualia, but merely "covered with earth to evoke the idea of sowing. It was only swept for the Consualia." Could whoever wrote the original article please cite the source(s) he/she used? This may be a conflict of sources or even ancient authors. My source backs up many of the other facts in the article (I went ahead and cited the facts my source also states).
