[edit] birth year

I added her birth year based on her mentining in her linked AMS article that she was born 23 months earlier than her sister Julia Robinson, whose birthdate is given as December 8, 1919. Maybe someone has something more precise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.241.238.233 (talk) 02:14, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Contemporary Authors gives her birth date as January 3, 1918, so I have added this info and the source. They have additional biographical info on her and I will update this article with that later. --Uncia (talk) 18:34, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Recategorizing from mathematician to writer

Reid is notable for her books on mathematics and her biographies of mathematicians. She says herself that she is not a mathematician. Therefore I have taken out the categorizations of this article under "mathematicians" and categorized it under "biographers" and "science writers". --Uncia (talk) 20:21, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
