[edit] Footnote 9

The citation in footnote 9 is to "Brent." That is patently insufficient to support anything - who or what is "Brent" and where does one go to check that the source supports what it purportedly does? I wanted to check because the citation is offered as support for the statement that at the dedication ceremony, the monument was for the "virtue" of the "Confederate cause." As it's written now, the sentence pre-supposes the "virtue" of the "Confederate cause," which many would dispute. I thought it would likely be more accurate to say that someone in history stated that the monument was for the "virtue" of the "Confederate cause," but wanted to check the source to find out who said it and when. If the citation can't be verified, the statement should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.124.60.120 (talk) 18:41, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

There was already a citation for a work done by a Joseph Brent, so it was cited. I cleaned up the reference, but it was there.
