Convict dining hall

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A convict dining hall refers to the room or space where convicts are served meals.

Typically, a convict dining hall consists of 10 or more rectangular shaped tables with chairs to match, and the basic purpose of the room is to serve meals to the detained inmates. Usually, convict dining halls are painted with dull colours in an attempt to lower the spirits of the convicts, and windows in these buildings are rare.
