"Conversation Piece" is a song written by David Bowie. It was released as the B-side of the single "The Prettiest Star" from 1970.
The song is a first-person narrative of an old scholar who is almost completely alone in the world, and seems to be waiting for death.

- Bowie recorded a demo version of the song together with John Hutchinson in February 1969.
- The song also appeared as a bonus track on the Rykodisc CD re-release of Space Oddity.
- In 2000 Bowie recorded a new version of the song for an unreleased album project called Toy. This version was released on the Limited edition bonus disc of Heathen in 2002.
