Convenos Meeting Center is an on-demand web conferencing and collaboration service from Convenos LLC that allows users to meet online for a flat fee. As a software-as-a-service (SaAS) offering, the user only pays for the service and is not charged on a per minute basis, nor is he or she charged for audio services when using the free integrated audio options.

Convenos, LLC was founded in 2005 in Scotts Valley, California and is a privately held company. Convenos is a provider of web conferencing and collaboration tools serving the small and medium size business market. It launched its first product, with Skype integration in January 2006 and became a certified AppExchange partner with Salesforce.com in January 2007.

Convenos Meeting Center is available in two editions: Standard and Professional. The Convenos Meeting Center Standard Edition allows for up to 20 attendees in a meeting and 25MB storage capacity per licensed user. Within the Convenos Meeting Center the host has the ability to share documents, slide presentations and desktop applications. Attendees can surf the internet together, share video, chat, use a shared whiteboard, and do on-demand polling. The Professional Edition includes the same features and functions as the Standard Edition but allows for up to 99 attendees and provides 100 MB of storage per licensed user.

Convenos Meeting Center is integrated with, and may be accessed from, Skype, Microsoft Outlook, and Salesforce.com

Convenos LLC markets Convenos Meeting Center using a flat fee service model, which allows users to conduct an unlimited number of meetings per month, per year. Convenos does not charge for the audio services (such as a telephony bridge or VoIP) or meeting time. Nor does it charge based on the number of attendees. Convenos Meeting Center is used by businesses worldwide, by marketing professional, sales reps and project planners for internal and external presentations. Its primary innovation is the use of virtual meeting rooms that cut across geographic boundaries and time zones.

Convenos LLC has chosen several industry-leading key products, and provided software that integrates them with Convenos Meeting Center. Those products are Skype, Salesforce.com, and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Skype is the world leader in VoIP services; Convenos Meeting Center uses Skype as its VoIP technology of choice. Additionally, Skype users can download and install Skype Extra for Convenos Meeting Center, which is a Skype plug-in that allows Skype users to select meeting attendees from their contacts, and start an online meeting immediately from within Skype.
  • SaleForce.com is the world leader in hosted CRM services, and features a powerful programming interface called AppExchange. Convenos offers a software plug-in for SalesForce that lets its users create and participate in online meetings from within the SalesForce service.
  • Microsoft Outlook is the leading email, calendaring, and scheduling application for the Microsoft Windows environment. Convenos provides an Outlook plug-in that lets users schedule meetings from within their Outlook calendar.
