"Control" is the second radio single from Grammy Award nominated New Orleans electro-rock band Mute Math's self titled debut album. The single was to be released to radio on January 15, 2008. A digital single is expected to follow sometime in February 2008.[1] The song was written by Paul Meany, Adam LaClave, and Darren King and was originally released on Reset EP in 2004 and charted well on Radio & Records CCR charts before their merger with Billboard. The song also won a Dove Award in 2005 for Best Modern Rock Song of the Year. [2]
[edit] Music video
The music video directed by Israel Anthem was filmed in Nashville, TN on January 12, 2008 and January 19, 2008. The Craigslist ad for extras stated that it is a "highly stylized concept" that requires at least 300 extras. Warner Bros. will not be releasing the "Control" video due to copyright issues in regards to a similar, previously release clip from a european group.[citation needed]
