Control is the fourteenth episode of the first season of House, which premiered on the FOX network on March 15, 2005.

A high level, dominating executive Carly (Sarah Clarke) is admitted to the hospital after having an episode during a conference. House determines that she needs a heart transplant in order to survive. However, he finds out that she has an eating disorder and did this damage to herself through repeated doses of Ipecac. House finds himself in an ethical dilemma and lies to the heart transplant committee in order to save her life. Meanwhile, Dr. Cuddy receives a gargantuan $100 million donation from Edward Vogler (Chi McBride), the head of a pharmaceutical company who requests to become the Chairman of the hospital's board of directors in return. House and Vogler quickly realize that they will not be amicable towards each other. The episode ends with House and Vogler sparring verbally to the strains of The Who's "Baba O'Riley."

In this episode it is revealed that there are two Dr. Wilsons at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital: Dr. James Wilson, the oncologist who is House's best friend, and another, who is an ophthalmologist.
