Control-M

Control-M has different meanings:

  • an alternative way to do a carriage return in ASCII character encoding, its origin goes back to the keyboard layout of Teletype terminals
  • a scheduling computer software, see CONTROL-M
  • Panasonic Professional/Industrial video 5-pin mini-DIN editing Control-M protocol used by AGA-96P edit controller[1] & AG-1980P editing video cassette recorder[2] and other similar Panasonic professional/industrial video products. Similar in functionality to but different than Sony Control-L/LANC video edit protocol.
