The Continental Building is a high-rise building in the Historic Core of Los Angeles, California. Completed in 1903, it has 13 floors and stands at 174 feet (53 m). It was the first high-rise building in Los Angeles. In 1904,shortly after the building was completed, the Los Angeles City Council enacted a 150-foot (46 m) height limit on on future buildings.
As of 2007, the Continental Building was being converted into condominiums.
