Consulate may refer to:

  • the office or term (either individually or collectively) of any officials styled Consul, since Roman antiquity
  • French Consulate, the government of republican France from 1799 to 1804, when First Consul Napoleon Bonaparte names himself the head of the French Government, which is prior to his crowning as the Emperor
  • the office, comparable in some senses to an embassy, of a Consul (representative), official representative of a state outside its territory and not present in the capital of the host country (which would be called an embassy or High Commission)
