Constitution Party of Utah
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Constitution Party of Utah is the Utah affiliate of the national Constitution Party. The party is one of only three political parties guaranteed ballot access in Utah for the 2008 elections [1].
During the 2007 elections the Utah Constitution Party saw their first candidate ever elected in the state. Matthew Wayne Curry was elected to the Lewiston Town Council race in Cache County. While he came in second place, there were several seats open in the race, so the candidates that got the top amount of votes won each seat [2].
For the 2008 elections the party has 38 candidates for the State House (37 Districts), 8 candidates for State Senate, and candidates in all three U.S. House races [3].
