Constantine Gabras

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Constantine Gabras was the Duke over the territory of what is today north-west Turkey in Asia in 1118.[1] This was the only interior region still under Byzantine control at the time, and as such he had the first responsibility for keeping the Turks out of Constantinople. The exploits of Emperor John the Beautiful would soon change the balance of power in Anatolia.
