Connecticut Grand Opera and Orchestra

The Connecticut Grand Opera and Orchestra is a non-profit, professional opera company and orchestra based in Stamford, Connecticut in the United States. The opera company and orchestra are one organization and are often referred to as CGO&O.

CGO&O is a member of OPERA America and has received critical praise from the The New York Times, London's The Financial Times, Opera News, Opera magazine and The New Yorker. The company presents three fully staged operas each year and it has achieved many honors, including being one of only three American opera companies to have been invited to perform at the Edinburgh International Festival.

CGO&O has also worked with some of the world's finest conductors, direcors, and singers. Past productions having included artists such as Marilyn Horne, Sherrill Milnes, Alessandra Marc, Peter Serkin, Renee Fleming and Mischa Dichter, as well as directors Arvin Brown and Tom O'Horgan.
