[edit] History

The first store was opened in Williston, North Dakota in 1937. Shortly thereafter, company co-founder Edward Conlin purchased all shares of the company and began expanding. In 2007, Conlin's continued its expansion into Alexandria, Minnesota, making Minnesota the fifth state for the company to operate within.

[edit] Competition

Competition comes mostly from that of other regional and national furniture chains, including HOM Furniture and Slumberland, along with a number of locally owned stores.

[edit] Selection

A typical Conlin's store offers furniture from all room groups, including living room, bedroom, and dining room. Conlin's features a wide-array of national brands, including La-Z-Boy, Broyhill, Sealy, Simmons, and A-America.
