Congress Mukti Sena

Congress Mukti Sena (Congress Liberation Army) was the militant wing of the Nepali Congress Party. The Sena took part in an armed uprising against the monarchic rule in Nepal in the late 1940s. The revolt started in the Terai region, and spread through-out the country. After the democratic opening, the Sena took part in clashes with royalist gangs.'

The Sena was integrated into the Nepali Police, following the 'Delhi Compromise'.[1]
